Pizza = PERFECT But Ups screwed up and delivered late, first order had to be thrown out.Somehow the replacement order got shipped to my old address but you guys got it successfully routed to me in time. I ordered these for my hubby for Christmas since we used to live in the Chicago suburbs and were not visiting for the holidays this year.We are originally from chicago as well as my sister in law and eat malnati's every time we visit our families in Chicago. We order pizzas for my sister in law for her birthday every year.A few weeks ago, I ordered 2 so my wife could try them... Sauce is so tasty and fresh even though it has been frozen. As a native but nomadic NYer, there are certain hometown foods that will always have a special place in one's memory. For me, that includes Brooklyn bagels, thin-crust pizza, and corned beef on Rye with cream soda.
Return pizza to the pan and bake on the middle rack, or until cheese melts and crust becomes crispy and golden brown.
Ups totally messed up the order by delivering it 3 days later then I was told Tastes of Chicago came to the rescue and fixed my order in 24 hours great business something I am going to order from again!!!!! They said shipping was included, but when I went to checkout and pick a shipping date, only 2 days were available and under both of those dates I had to pick next day air which was an additional , bringing my total well over 100 for 4 small pizzas.
Our grandson is away at college in Marion Indiana and it it next to impossible to get down there during the winter because of the weather.
I will say I was slightly disappointed in the frozen version.
The crust doesn't rise when it's baked, the cheese was slightly mushy and it took about 50 minutes to bake directly out of freezer. I'll just wait until the next time we visit Chicago to get another one of these delicious pizzas.
